Kazakhstan’s Cultural Gala held on the occasion of the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan inspires Pakistanis while attracting reasonable members of government officials, senators, representatives of Pakistani government agencies, diplomats, business and public figures, media personnel people representing different walks of life attended the event.
The Guest of Honor at the occasion was Shahid Ashraf Tarar, the Minister of Communications, Maritimes Affairs, and Railways in Pakistan. The event was also attended by Deputy Speaker of the Senate Mirza Muhammad Afridi, Minister of Regulation and Coordination of National Health Services Dr. Nadeem Jan, Minister of Human Rights Khalil George, former Minister of Defense Industry Ex-Federal Minister Sardar M Israr Tareen.
During his welcoming speech, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin, highlighted the positive progress in bilateral relations while separately outlining the objectives set by the President in the Address to the People of Kazakhstan “Economic Course of a Fair Kazakhstan” focusing on the development of the North-South transport corridor, and strengthening friendly ties with the countries of South Asia, with Pakistan being a key partner in the region.
Guest of Honor, Sh. A. Tarar, stressed the significance of cultivating a strategic partnership between the two countries, saying that Pakistan highly values relations with Kazakhstan and wishes success and prosperity to the Kazakh people.
The event’s concert program featured the renowned singer Gulzar Gabdrakhman, and guests of the reception was presented with national cuisine from the popular chain of Kazakh restaurants “Bauyrdak”. Ambassador Y. Kistafin expressed sincere gratitude to Tarbiya Aidimbaeva, head of the Bauyrdak company Aktlek Kussanbayev for their valuable contributions in organizing the event at a high level.
