Russia rewards Dr. Shahid Hassan for Promoting Bilateral Ties

In recognition of his lifelong commitment to promoting Pakistan-Russia education collaboration, the Russian Federation has nominated Dr Shahid Hassan as Ambassador for Education and Science in Pakistan. Dr Hassan is a Chairman of the Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia & Commonwealth Independent States (CIS). Dr Shahid dedicated his whole life to promoting Pakistan-Russia relations.

In a recent ceremony held in Moscow, Dr. Shahid was awarded with the Ambassador for Education and Science for Pakistan, in recognition of his great contribution in the areas of education and promoting friendly relations between Pakistan and Russia.

The event was attended by a large number of Rectors from different Russian educational institutions, Ministers, intellectuals, representatives from different spheres of life, and other dignitaries. It’s a great honor not only for the Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia & CIS but for the whole country.

At the moment when the Pakistani relationship with Russia witnessing an upward trajectory, such recognition would further encourage people like Dr Shahid Hassan to play his role in public diplomacy and bring the people of the two countries closer.

It’s important to mention here that with Dr. Shahid’s nomination as Ambassador of the Russian Federation for Education and Science, the opportunities for Pakistani students and researchers will be further increased, and prospective students will be further benefit.
